Government spokesman Stelios Petsas issued an outline of information on travelling to Greece as of today (July 1), when the country will open to tourism following the relaxation of coronavirus-related restrictions.
“Greece is proceeding to the next step of restoring travel flows, based on the protection of workers in tourism, residents of tourist destinations and its visitors,” the government spokesman said.

He added that “Greece, in collaboration with its EU partners, retains the right to review its policies on these issues based on epidemiological data developments.”
A total of 104 flights from abroad are scheduled to land at the country’s regional airports on Wednesday as borders reopen to foreign visitors from specific countries.

With the exception of Sweden and the United Kingdom, two countries from which flights will not be allowed until July 15, there are no restrictions on arrivals from other European countries.

Greek high-speed vessel operator Seajets is restarting its routes out of the ports of Piraeus, Lavrio and Crete’s Heraklion to some 30 destinations in the Aegean on July 3, the company announced on Tuesday.
